The Government of Morocco has officially launched the National Program for Children in the Fields of Digital and Artificial Intelligence, a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering young generations with the skills needed to thrive in the digital era. The launch ceremony took place at the Hassanouna Youth House in Tangier, and was presided over by Mrs. Amal Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny, the Minister assigned to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, alongside Mr. Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication.
The program is implemented under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Nasir Allah, and aligns with the national vision to promote technological innovation, strengthen digital literacy, and ensure equitable access to digital opportunities for Moroccan youth. It seeks to equip children with digital and AI-related skills, foster creativity, and close the digital divide between regions and communities.
This ambitious initiative stems from a strategic partnership framework between several key institutions - the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the International Center for Artificial Intelligence in Morocco AI Movement - UM6P, part of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, under the supervision of UNESCO.
