Gondwana Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape has expressed its profound shock at the tragic loss of its CEO and Co-owner FC Conradie who was trampled to death by an elephant on the morning of Tuesday, July 23.
The reserves Sales Manager Priscilla Taylor confirmed the passing of Conradie 39 whose vision and leadership helped establish Gondwana as one of South Africas leading private game reserves.
FC was a beloved and highly respected figure both within Gondwana and across the broader conservation community. His passing has left the team at Gondwana and many others in profound shock and mourning, said Taylor.
She described Conradie as a passionate conservationist and exceptional leader.
His unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation, community upliftment and sustainable tourism left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.
