Jemedafe, who lost her father on Christmas day, started this annual tradition in 2019 to honour his memory. I used to feel sad, but I decided to take the baton for myself, she said. This is how I enjoy spending my Christmas. We sponsor a few of them to school and every year for 12 days, we provide daily meals, culminating in the Christmas party,she added.
