Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader Julius Malema has poked fun at his former deputy, Floyd Shivambu , following his demotion in uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party.
MK Party removed Shivambu as its Secretary-General on Tuesday 3 June - just six months into the role - and redeployed him to Parliament.
It cited his recent trip to Malawi, where he met self-styled prophet and alleged fugitive from South Africa Shepherd Bushiri, as the reason.

I dont work with Floyd anywhere - Parliament, soccer match or anything. I dont want to comment on his matters. Where is he here? he asked.

Malema warned Shivambu that Parliament is now run by young people, adding, If he comes there and think he can impose himself on them, they are already ready for him.
So, you can rest assured that he will not do anything that can undermine the superior logic of the EFF in that Parliament.
Malema and Shivambu share a long political history dating back to their leadership roles in the African National Congress Youth League.
They co-founded the EFF in 2013, with Shivambu becoming Malemas deputy until his surprise resignation from the party in August 2024.
