The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has announced plans to collaborate with technology partners to roll out a large-scale digital skills training programme targeting Ghanaian youth.
In a meeting held on September 4, 2025, officials engaged representatives of Code Raccoon Ltd Company on a proposal to train 350,000 young people annually in basic coding, software development, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The three-month programme will cover widely used programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
The training curriculum, already in use in Berlin for workforce development, will be accredited locally by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment NaCCA and supported with international certification from leading European technology firms. This dual accreditation is expected to boost the global employability of participants and position them for both local and remote opportunities.
