Benfica are on the verge of completing the signing of Georgiy Sudakov from Shakhtar Donetsk in the final stretch of the transfer window in what is set to become the most expensive transfer in the club's history Softfootball reports.
The deal is reported to be worth 30m in fixed fees, plus additional bonuses tied to performance. This surpasses the previous record set by Orkun Kokcu, whose transfer totalled 29.7m including objectives and fixed fees.
Last season, Georgiy Sudakov played 37 matches for Shakhtar, netting 15 goals and providing 6 assists. The Ukrainian attacking midfielder played his final match for Shakhtar on Thursday against Servette in the second leg of the Conference League playoff before moving to Lisbon.
