The Gauteng Roads and Transport Department says it has repaired more than 470 streetlights across the province.
The repairs form part of an initiative aimed at improving road safety, infrastructure and crime prevention.
Department spokesperson Lesiba Mpya says the next phase of the programme will focus on the Fourways area, including Cedar Road, Witkoppen Road, Malibongwe Drive and Winnie Mandela Drive.
