Gauteng Roads and Transport MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela says the government plans to make Gautrain more affordable and accessible to people in the province in March next year.

She was speaking while visiting the Gautrain Park Station to encourage people to sign up for KlevaMova, a new product offering 50 off train fares for eligible passengers residing in the province.

Gautrain is giving free rides this weekend to the public who pre-register for KlevaMova at any station except O.R. Tambo.

The product caters to Low-income households, Students under the age of 25, Scholars, Pensioners, Senior citizens and Disability grant recipients.

Diale-Tlabela elaborates, We decided to ensure accessibility to Gautrain - this is one of the assets that the people of Gauteng will be inheriting in March 2026 and amongst others it has been a challenge to ordinary people in our country, in our province has always been accessibility to Gautrain its self but also challenges that comes with income in households that more people spend money for transport to work.
