Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench to salvage a 2-2 draw for Chelsea at Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday, but Enzo Maresca was left frustrated by what he called 'silly" defensive errors.
The London club, who were expected to dominate in Baku, were instead forced to fight back after being stunned by its determined opponents.
Chelsea had taken an early advantage through Estevao Willian, yet Qarabag responded impressively, with Leandro Andrade levelling the score before Marko Jankovic converted a penalty to put the Azerbaijani side in front. Garnacho eventually restored parity in the second half with a composed finish that denied the hosts a famous win.
