Turkish champions Galatasaray have paid tribute to Victor Osimhen following the striker's match-winning performance for Nigeria in their 2-0 victory over Rwanda on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports .
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli , was the standout performer at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, scoring both goals to propel the Super Eagles to a crucial win in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the 11th minute, arriving at the back post to slot home Ademola Lookman 's pinpoint cross. He then doubled Nigeria's lead in first-half stoppage time, pressing Rwanda's Thierry Manzi into an error before expertly chipping the ball over goalkeeper Fabrice Ntwari.
It was Osimhen's first game of the qualifiers, and he wasted no time making an impact.
His latest brace continues a rich vein of form, following a hat-trick against Antalyaspor before the international break and goals against Alanyaspor and Kasimpasa.
