Function Health has raised 298 million in a Series B round. The raise values the company at 2.5 billion. It places Function among the fastest-rising names in medical technology.
Redpoint Ventures led the round. Other investors joined. These include a16z. These include Agla Ventures. These include NFDG. These include Battery Ventures and Alumni Ventures. Several NBA figures took part. Blake Griffin and Allen Crabbe joined the raise. Roku founder Anthony Wood also joined. The round brings Functions total capital raised to 350 million.
Function wants to fix a growing problem. People produce huge amounts of medical data. They create it through blood tests and electronic health records. They create it through scans and wearable devices. Yet they rarely link this information. They rarely use it to manage their health.
