The cargo industry should implement a well-structured learning and development strategy to identify and understand the level of skills and capacity available within their respective organisations, says Ingrid du Buisson of the ICFF.
The Institute of Customs and Freight Forwardings CEO stresses that this is particularly relevant given the current backdrop of uncertainty and anxiety, and the resulting possibility of international trade disruptions in 2026.
Some of the crucial concerns requiring urgent attention, Du Buisson says, are geopolitical volatility, regulation complexity, fragmented trade policies and operational readiness.
