In Mpumalanga, four people died following a head-on collision between two vehicles on the R38 road between Hendrina and Carolina. Safety, Security, and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says the investigation into the crash is underway.
He has called on motorists to drive with caution as the rain persists in most parts of the province.
"The victims include two passengers and a driver in one vehicle and the driver of a sedan who was the sole occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. There were no further injuries reported in the incident and all the victims died at the scene."
