FNB Connect has officially surpassed one million active subscribers, marking a significant milestone for the bank's mobile virtual network MVNO and reflecting the growing trend of South Africans seeking smarter, more value-driven connectivity solutions. This achievement strengthens FNB Connect's position as one of the country's fastest-growing digital connectivity providers, driven by seamless integration with FNB's digital ecosystem and customer-focused innovation.
Over the 12 months between July 2024 and June 2025, FNB Connect customers used 26.2 petabytes of data, equivalent to approximately 11 million hours of HD video streaming on YouTube. In addition, users consumed more than 2.37 petabytes of free WhatsApp data, enabling billions of conversations, check-ins, and connections without concerns about running out of data.
Through the bank's eBucks Rewards program, customers collectively earned 290 million eBucks roughly R29 million on airtime purchases and spent 190 million eBucks approximately R19 million on airtime, data, and new devices, highlighting the strength of FNB's integrated ecosystem of banking, connectivity, and rewards. The MVNO also distributed over R4.5 billion in data rewards, helping to expand access to connectivity across both urban and rural areas.
