Disruptive rainfall leading to the flooding of roads is expected over the City of Cape Town, Cape Winelands, West Coast and Overberg Districts of the Western Cape today.
Cape Towns Disaster Risk Management centre says it has received reports on a few incidents in the past 24 hours.
They include flooding in areas such as Khayelitsha and Athlone on the Cape Flats.
"We also had power outages that were reported in Langa and Athlone and Rondebosch. Our energy department is responding to that as well," says the centres spokesperson, Sonica Lategan.
She says that at around 6 oclock, the N1 outbound in Okavangu was closed as a sinkhole was forming.
