A South African Broadcasting Corporation SABC freelance radio presenter Nonkululeko Mantula and four other accused have been granted bail by the Kempton Park Magistrates Court, east of Johannesburg.
The five appeared in court on charges related to the alleged recruitment of people for the Russian military.
The five have been in custody since their arrests last weekend at OR Tambo International Airport while en route to Russia.
