A local fisherman, identified in reports as Jody Rademeyer, was shot in the head, neck and chest during an armed robbery at Monwabisi Beach between 1am and 2am on Tuesday, reports Cape town Etc .
According to the Daily Voice , he and a friend were at the beach when four armed men in a black VW Polo approached and robbed the friend, who was sitting in a red Toyota Corolla. Rademeyer tried to intervene and was shot before the suspects fled in the stolen car.
Captain F C van Wyk, a police spokesperson, confirmed Muizenberg police opened a docket into attempted murder and carjacking and that no arrests have been made so far.
