For many kids in Cape Town, Easter came a bit sooner this year, not with big celebrations or bright lights , but with firefighters bringing boxes of sweets and small acts of kindness .
In a community-focused initiative timed for the holiday season, the City of Cape Town's Fire Rescue Service joined forces with retail partner Shoprite to distribute Easter treats to hundreds of young children, turning ordinary weekday visits into moments of celebration, as highlighted by the City .
As a result, the collaboration saw more than 300 children across four facilities receiving Easter gifts.
