African National Congress ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula says he has asked his lawyers to probe a defamation case against City Press following its reporting of his recent trip to Libya.
On Sunday 26 October, the publication claimed Mbalula had dodged questions about the trip.
It further reported that he used a rented Falcon 900 business jet ZS-FCI, which is reportedly owned by businessman Adriano Mazzotti and operated by ExecuJet. The trip reportedly took place in late August this year and cost R1.7 million.
