Hyatt Hotel group has kicked off an initiative that will incentivise hotel guests to exercise. It is awarding loyalty points to guests who use exercise equipment in their rooms.
World of Hyatt, the groups loyalty programme, has announced that guests can earn loyalty points through exercise at 800 Hyatt properties worldwide when they use the stationary bike in their hotel room.
Guests collect their Hyatt loyalty points by completing a qualifying workout using the equipment provided.
The hotel corporation is collaborating with Peleton, an equipment provider that will provide the stationary bikes as well as access to Peleton classes on guest room TVs.
The idea is based on Hyatt data showing an increased focus on health and wellbeing when planning vacations. The equipment will be available in Hyatt properties across the UK, Germany, Austria, Australia, the US and Canada.
