Salary: R1,724,406 - R1,824,406 per annum
Purpose of the Role
To lead, plan, organize, and implement economic and spatial development initiatives within Mogale City, aimed at:
- Reducing unemployment
- Driving economic growth
- Achieving spatial transformation
Essential Qualifications Experience
- Bachelors degree in Town and Regional Planning, City and Regional Planning, Architecture, or Building Science
- Postgraduate qualification in Local Economic Development with at least 5 years hands-on experience
- Minimum 7 years senior management experience in development planning and economic development services
- Proven expertise in:
- Spatial and economic planning
- Intergovernmental planning
- Donor funding
- Strong knowledge of:
- Policy and legislation interpretation
- Performance management systems
- Good governance
- Supply chain management regulations and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act Act No. 5 of 2000
Preferred Qualifications Experience
- Masters degree in Town and Regional Planning or City and Regional Planning
- Compliance with MFMA Minimum Competency Levels as per Government Notices 29967 of July 2007 and 21 of January 2014
- Registration with a relevant professional body advantageous
- 10 years senior management experience in relevant fields
- Knowledge of:
- Geographical Information Systems GIS
- Spatial town and development planning

Additional Requirements
