Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has blamed injuries for their 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Michael Olise (twice), Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell all scored for the hosts, as they completed the double against the Red Devils.
The result leaves Ten Hags men in eighth place, with their hopes of playing European football next season fading.
On reasons for the defeat, Ten Hag told Sky Sports: There are always reasons and everyone sees our backline and we have huge problems.
At the end of the day, we have to deal with it and we should have done better than we did.
He added: It is clear and it is obvious. This is underperforming. We didnt act how we want to do it and its by far not good enough.
We are very disappointed, but the fans were always behind us and we kept fighting, like the fans did.
