Platform X formerly Twitter has begun rolling out a limited feature showing the country where its users are based, a long-awaited addition supporters say could help identify accounts spreading propaganda or interfering in foreign affairs.
The functionality, first seen on Friday November 21, 2025, is not yet available to all users. Those with access can visit an account's bio, select the date it joined X, and view the country associated with that account.
X head of product Nikita Bier explained in October that the move aims to help users verify content.
