The Edo State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo, received his certificate of return from the leadership of the party on Tuesday.
Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Amb. UmarDamagun, assisted by other party officials, presented the certificate to the candidate.
The event took place at the National Executive Committee Hall of the PDP National Secretariat, in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Secretary of the Primary Election Committee, Senator James Manager, who stood in for the chairman, Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, said the assignment was tough but that after all said and done, the exercise was a huge success.
In his brief remarks, Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Amb. Damagun, challenged the candidate to take steps to rally around those who contested against him in the primary, earn their trust, and ensure he works with them for the success of the party at the forthcoming elections.
