Lungus family and the Zambian government have been at loggerheads since former President Edgar Lungu died. Now they have reached an agreement that the 6th Zambian President will be repatriated, this Wednesday.

The days of mourning have also been extended to 23 June.

Lungu passed away in a South African healthcare facility earlier this month.

Zambian foreign affairs and international cooperation department led the talks with Lungus family to iron out their differences. His remains will be transported from South Africa to Zambia.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, members of the public will be allowed to pay their last respects at Mulungushi Conference Centre.
