Ec Scholar Transport Operators Threaten Legal Action For Non-payment
Scholar transport operators in the Eastern Cape have threatened to take the provincial government to court about their outstanding payments. They claim not have been paid since, January.
According to the operators they have lost confidence in the Transport MEC, Xolile Nqatha and his Department to resolve the current impasse.
The taxi operators are said to fed up with the provincial goverments refusal to pay them for services rendered. They accuse the Provincial Transport Department of dragging feet in addressing their concerns.
Transport operator Khaya Mpeqeka say they are tired of talking.
We are sick and tired now because its a long time now talking about one thing, and we didnt achieve anything. Now we are tired that is why we are taking the decision to take those guys to the lawyers.
