uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party member of Parliament Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has denied wrongdoing in the alleged mercenary recruitment scheme to Russia, saying she was in fact its first victim.
In an affidavit filed at the Sandton Police Station on Monday 24 November, she pinned the blame on a man she named as Blessing Rhulani Khoza.
17 South Africans aged between 20 and 39 are trapped in the Russia-Ukraine conflict after allegedly being lured under false pretences with promises of lucrative contracts. 16 are from KwaZulu-Natal and one from the Eastern Cape.
