The Stakeholder Committee, chaired by the Honourable Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations MoCDTI , continues to monitor DSTV pricing following the implementation of increased value packages on 1 October 2025.
According to the Committee, the enhanced value packages were successfully rolled out as announced and remain in force . Ghanaians have responded positively to the changes, resulting in a notable rise in subscriptions.
The Committee, which includes representatives from MoCDTI, the National Communications Authority NCA, and MultiChoice, is also working with other agencies, including the Cybersecurity Authority, to combat the illegal streaming of pay-TV content. Such piracy undermines tax revenue, impacts the creative industry, and exposes consumers to security threats such as malware and phishing.
