The Pretoria North Magistrates Court is expected to deliver judgment in the bail application of one of the three men accused of the murder of five-year-old Ditebogo Phalane.
Pelia Maeko, Ali Sithole and Nido Gumbo allegedly shot Phalane junior dead when they hijacked his fathers bakkie at their home in Soshanguve, North of Pretoria, in May last year.
The little boy ran out to greet his father as he arrived home when he was fatally wounded during the hijacking of the vehicle.
During the bail hearing, the court heard that the three used similar modus operandi in other crimes.
Investigating Officer, Sergeant Mashudu Sevhasa testified that the accused persons have a history of similar crimes committed between 2023 and 2024.
