Kisangi ran a quarry in Nkuruka in Kitengela Reserve a few years ago before switching to supplying building materials with his truck.

However, detectives are following up on a sour love affair and have summoned the woman of the house to record a statement.

The has established that despite being summoned, the woman had not turned up by Friday morning, despite being spotted in Kitengela on Thursday.

Detectives are also trying to establish ownership of the house where the couple lived.

According to a detective close to the investigation, some allegations have resurfaced that the house belonged to the woman and that she lived with Kisangi while another man is said to be in the picture.

The woman's husband is said to have been living in America for at least 10 years and Kisangi was her man in Kenya, detectives now believe.

'We have received some information that the house that went up in flames belonged to the woman who had been living with the deceased for years. We are trying to unravel the mystery and are conducting a forensic examination of the couple's phone conversation in the last few days,' the detective said in confidence.

Isinya Sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigation Officer (DCIO) Simon Kirui told that they were waiting for the woman to record a statement with the police.

'The woman's statement will be very helpful in further investigations. She is yet to turn up,' Mr Kirui said on Friday, without divulging much information.
