Deployment In Drc A Collective Budget Of Sadc Countries: Motshekga

Defence Minister Angie Motshekga says the budget which was spent on the South African National Defence Force SANDF mission in the eastern DRC, comes from SADC.

She says SANDF is in the DRC under the SADC mission and not South Africa individually.

However, a decision was taken by SADC and East African Community regional bodies to withdraw the troops with the aim of finding peace in that country.

Addressing the media in Pretoria, Motshekga says South Africa also contributed as a member country.
