Civil society movement Defend Our Democracy is demanding clarity from the Ekurhuleni Metro on the circumstances surrounding the murder of senior auditor Mpho Mafole .
Mafole, who was head of forensic audits at the Ekurhuleni Metro, was gunned down while driving on the R23 in Kempton Park on Monday evening.
Police found Mafoles body inside his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
The organisations executive director, Naledi Kuali, says the killing threatens the safety of dedicated public servants.
