2023 UEFA Europa League semi-finalists, AS Roma, have identified OGC Nice and Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi, as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, Soccernet.ng reports.
Romelu Lukaku joined Chelsea from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021 for 113m but was quickly forced out after a series of unimpressive performances. Since then, hes spent time on loan with Inter, and most recently, with AS Roma.
Chelsea are looking to get the Belgian off their books with Napolis Antonio Conte interested in a reunion with the former Inter striker. The pair won the Serie A title in Lukakus first season in Italy.
With Lukaku off Romas books, Danielle De Rossis Roma are looking to bring in another striker to compete with Tammy Abraham for playing time. As per LaRoma24.it , the Giallorossi have put Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi, in their sights. The 25-year-old was signed by Roma director Florent Ghisolfi from Lorient during his first days as Nice sporting director in January 2023 for a total of 25 million.
Roma wants to secure a strong forward to lead Daniele De Rossi's team next season and Moffi fits that profile, coming off a positive season with Nice, having scored 11 goals and 2 assists in 32 appearances.
