Brentford secured their first victory of the 2025/26 Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Aston Villa at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, August 23. The win also marked the Bees' first home success of the campaign, thanks to debutant Dango Ouattara's early strike.
Softfootball reported that the Bees were going to be without Yoane Wissa for the match , but that didnt deter the team as they found success without their talisman.
The decisive moment came just 12 minutes in a long ball from Caoimhin Kelleher was flicked on by Igor Thiago, releasing Ouattara through the Villa backline. His initial effort was saved by Emiliano Martinez, but the Burkina Faso international reacted quickest, tucking away the rebound to announce himself in style to the Brentford faithful.
