President Cyril Ramaphosa is not resigning after the G20 summit scheduled for later this month, his special envoy for strategic relations and investment Bejani Chauke says.
Over the weekend, Sunday Times reported on speculation within the higher echelons of the African National Congress ANC that Ramaphosa wished to exit government early next year or before the end of his official five-year term in 2029.
This is the second time the speculation has surfaced in recent weeks. According to the publication, the President is said to be unhappy with his relations with the Democratic Alliance DA, which has continuously objected to the ANCs transformation policies.
