Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign promising Toulouse centre-back Jaydee Canvot. The Selhurst Park side have reportedly earmarked the 19-year-old as a late reinforcement to Oliver Glasner's backline, with the Ligue 1 outfit open to a sale before the summer transfer deadline.
Canvot performances last season have caught the eyes of many big clubs around Europe. Last week, Aston Villa saw a bid for Toulouse defender rejected, and now they face competition from a Premier League rival ,Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old who can also play as a holding midfielder signed his first professional contract with Toulouse last summer, running until June 2029, and made his first-team debut in September. He recently impressed scouts while representing France at the Maurice Revello Tournament in June, helping Les Bleus to victory.
