The Western Cape High Court dismissed the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF urgent court application to prevent the fuel levy increase with costs.
Judge Nathan Erasmus delivered the judgment, indicating that the reasons for dismissing the case with costs will be communicated further.
Erasmus says its a unanimous order by the three of them.
And the order reads as follows. Having had the legal representatives for the applicants and the first respondent. And we read the documents filed on record, the respondents. One the application is dismissed with costs. Two, the applicant will pay the first respondent costs, costs of the two counselors they so employ. That is the order, adds Erasmus.
