The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has permitted the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to move forward with its planned elective National Convention on November 15 and 16, 2025.
Justice A. L. Akintola issued a ruling granting an interim order that allows the party to conduct the convention as scheduled in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The court instructed the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to participate, monitor, and observe the event pending the hearing and resolution of the substantive motion on notice. This ruling was issued in response to an ex parte application filed by Folahan Adelabi against the PDP, its Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum Governor Umaru Fintiri representing the National Convention Organising Committee and INEC.
