Congo Expands Digital Education With New Multimedia Room At Abala High School

Lycee Denis Sassou N'Guesso in Abala, within the Nkeni-Alima department, officially inaugurated a new multimedia room on 15 December 2025, marking a significant milestone in expanding access to digital education in the Republic of Congo. The ceremony was attended by the Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, Leon Juste Ibombo the Vice-Chair of the Board of the Fund for Access to and Universal Service in Electronic Communications FASUCE, Yves Ickonga the Administrator Mayor of the urban community of Abala, Albert Itoua as well as local authorities and education stakeholders.

The multimedia room was developed under the implementation framework of FASUCE and delivered through the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority ARPCE, which serves as the Fund's managing body. Designed to provide a modern, connected learning environment, the facility aligns with national efforts to promote digital inclusion and bridge the technology gap within secondary schools across the country.

With the deployment of 30 multimedia rooms nationwide, FASUCE continues to advance its objective of modernising teaching conditions and improving access to knowledge. In Abala, nearly 90 pupils are expected to benefit directly from the new facility, which will support the development of digital competencies and enhance overall academic performance.
