Commuter bus services have resumed in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District in the North West. This after an eight-month-long disruption that left thousands of residents without transport.
A new service provider Ikhwezi Tasmica Joint Venture started operating on some routes today after a court ruling that cleared the way for a new provider to be appointed.
The previous operator, Atameleng Bus services interdicted the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management from appointing a new provider, leaving residents in areas like Mahikeng, Zeerust and Lichtenburg without subsidized transport.
