The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria has heard that Senzo Mchunus function as Police Minister is to formulate policing policy in consultation with provincial governments.
This is according to Patronella Van Rooyen, who is the head of Governance, Legislation and Policy at the Legal Services Division at the South African Police Service SAPS.
The hearing has been adjourned until Friday.
