Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso, has compared midfielder Fede Valverde with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Alonso and Gerrard were former teammates during their time together as professional footballers at Liverpool.
Speaking following Real Madrids FIFA Club World Cup 3-1 victory against Pachuca on Sunday, Alonso described Valverde as incredible player.
Recall that Valverde was on target as the Los Blancos defeated the Mexico side.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Alonso said: Fede Valverde is a Steven Gerrard profile.
