Johannesburgs City Power is calling on all customers who are running full-time businesses from properties registered as residential to change to a business classification.
This has a significate impact on the tariffs they are charged.
Residential tariffs are designed and priced based on normal household consumption patterns, while business tariffs have higher consistent electricity usage and operate for extended hours.
