Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have played to an uninspiring goalless draw on the fourth matchday of the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership at the FNB stadium in Soweto this evening 27 August 2025.
It was the first time Chiefs dropped points this season, but they maintained a solid start by keeping another clean sheet - the fourth in a row. The last time they managed that was 22 years ago, in 2003, hinting at a possible new era of defensive strength for the Glamour Boys.
The defending champions looked much out of sorts, evidently having shifted from their trademark posession football under Miguel Cardoso, with Chiefs uncharacteristically dictating matters and put forcing The Brazilians to absorb pressure in some instance.
