Moroccos Achraf Hakimi and Ghizlane Chebbak were named CAF Mens Player of the year and Womens Player of the Year respectively at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday.
Chebbak beat out fellow Moroccan Sanaa Mssoudy and Nigerias Rasheedat Ajibade to claim the coveted award, while Hakimi was crowned ahead of Egypts Mohamed Salah and Nigerias Victor Osimhen.
The Moroccan captain shone for Morocco on home soil at the Womens Africa Cup of Nations.
