The Ministry of Telecommunications, Digital Economy and Digitalization of the Administration in Chad has launched the 3rd edition of the Chad School of Internet Governance TCSIG. The event, jointly organized by ADETIC and HOUSE OF AFRICA, took place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Hotel de la Place in NDjamena. The initiative is designed to strengthen the development of information and communication technologies while supporting Chad's youth in adapting to ongoing digital transformation.
During the opening ceremony, the Director General of ADETIC, Adoum Djimet Saboun, highlighted the critical role of digital technology as a central pillar of development. He stressed the importance of expanding training programmes to embed digitalization across all levels of society. He also noted that the Chad School of Internet Governance offers young people essential opportunities to build strong digital skills.
Minister Dr Boukar Michel reaffirmed the government's commitment to placing digital transformation at the centre of public policy, driven by the vision of Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno. He stated that digital technologies are expected to serve as key engines for human, economic, and social development across the country.
