Ghana's local currency, the cedi , has posted slight gains against major international currencies, notably the US dollar, in some forex bureaus.
According to the Bank of Ghana 's latest update, the cedi is currently trading at a buying rate of GH13.09 and a selling rate of GH13.10 to the dollar.
For other key currencies, the British pound is buying at GH17.42 and selling at GH17.44, while the euro is being traded at GH14.74 for buying and GH14.75 for selling.
However, market checks by GhanaWeb Business at 07:00 AM on May 10, 2025, show slightly higher rates in parts of the retail forex market. The cedi was trading at GH13.40 to the dollar, with the pound at GH18.50, and the euro at GH15.80 in some major forex bureaus across the country.
