Cassava Technologies and Gebeya Inc. have joined forces to launch Gebeya Dala, Africa's first AI-powered creator platform. The partnership, unveiled in Cape Town on December 17, 2025, aims to help Africans transform ideas into digital products and creative content without requiring advanced technical skills.
The platform targets aspiring creators, students, and entrepreneurs who face barriers such as limited training, scarce tools, or inadequate infrastructure. By focusing on mass participation, Gebeya Dala seeks to unlock opportunities for Africa's youth and underserved communities to engage in digital creation.
At launch, Gebeya Dala features an AI-powered app builder that enables users to generate functional applications through simple prompts, including instructions in local languages. It also includes an AI comic book creator, allowing users to turn narratives into comic or manga-style visuals, helping preserve and share Africa's oral traditions in modern digital formats.
