Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has had his Twitch account placed under temporary suspension, only days after making history with a viral livestream featuring Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The highly publicised broadcast, held on December 17, 2025, drew huge global attention and propelled Carter Efe to the top of Africa's Twitch rankings, where he gained more than 405,000 followers and became the continent's most-followed streamer on the platform.
On Monday, Carter Efe revealed that Twitch had issued a four-month suspension on his account, stating that the action was due to breaches of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
