South Africans love a good beach debate, but this time the scoreboard has done the talking.
According to Good Things Guy , two Western Cape favourites, Boulders Beach and Cape of Good Hope Beach, have taken first and second place in a global ranking of the worlds most popular beaches. In a list packed with famous seaside names from the US, Thailand, Mexico and the Caribbean, it was Cape Towns coastline that came out on top.
That is a big win, but not exactly a shock. Anyone who has stood on this stretch of coast knows it offers something special. These are not generic beach escapes. They are places with real character, dramatic scenery and the kind of atmosphere that sticks with you long after the trip is over.
